Also published as Last Chance, Keeping the Moon is the story of fifteen-year-old Colie is spending the summer with her eccentric Aunt Mira while her mother travels. Formerly chubby and still insecure, Colie has built a shell around herself. But her summer with her aunt, her aunt's tenant Norman, and her friends at the Last Chance Diner teach her some important lessons about friendship and learning to love yourself.
Keeping the Moon (also published as Last Chance) by Sarah Dessen is the quirky and heart warming story of former chubster 15 year old Colie. She is sent to stay with her eccentric Aunt Mira, a fat artist who designs condolence cards (for your dead post man, former pets and ex-lovers). Along for the ride is arty Norman, bitchy Isabel and proverb spouting Morgan.

Two new books penned by J.K. Rowling will help tide over Harry Potter fans as they await book five, and raise money for a good cause: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by Newt Scamander, an A to Z listing of all beings magical (and required reading for all first-year Hogwarts students), and Quidditch Through the Ages by Kennilworthy Whisp (a "renowned Quidditch expert"), the official handbook of the wizard's sport of choice, both with a foreword by esteemed Hogwarts headmaster Dumbledore. Rowling wrote the books to raise funds for Comic Relief in the U.K., a charitable organization helping the poor and disadvantaged in Africa and the U.K. (not affiliated with the U.S. Comic Relief organization). Many printers and paper suppliers are joining in the effort by donating their services. Copyright 2001 Cahners Business Information, Inc.Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by Newt Scamander (aka J.K Rowling) was written, along withquidditch through the ages by Kennilworthy Whisp, to raise money for the comic relief foundation in 2001. Another unforgettable tale weaving history and mystery from the bestselling author of The House At Riverton and The Forgotten Garden . Edie Burchill and her mother have never been close, but when a long lost letter arrives one Sunday afternoon with the return address of Millderhurst Castle, Kent, printed on its envelope, Edie begins to suspect that her mother’s emotional distance masks an old secret.
Evacuated from London as a thirteen year old girl, Edie’s mother is chosen by the mysterious Juniper Blythe, and taken to live at Millderhurst Castle with the Blythe family: Juniper, her twin sisters and their father, Raymond. In the grand and glorious Millderhurst Castle, a new world opens up for Edie’s mother. She discovers the joys of books and fantasy and writing, but also, ultimately, the dangers. Fifty years later, as Edie chases the answers to her mother’s riddle, she, too, is drawn to Millderhurst Castle and the eccentric Sisters Blythe. Old ladies now, the three still live together, the twins nursing Juniper, whose abandonment by her fiancĂ© in 1941 plunged her into madness.Inside the decaying castle, Edie begins to unravel her mother’s past. But there are other secrets hidden in the stones of Millderhurst Castle, and Edie is about to learn more than she expected. The truth of what happened in the distant hours has been waiting a long time for someone to find it...
Kate Morton’s Distant Hours had the same effect on me that her earlier novel The Forgotten Garden did. The language was beautiful and compelling, the characters were mysterious and charismatic and the plot was involving.
