The paranormal thriller of the afterlife of Amelia, an 18 year old spirit who haunts the scene of her death, Hereafter is the first step in Tara Hudson's new paranormal series. Stranded between life and death in a space with no senses, Amelia is shocked when not only does she save the life of a drowning boy, but suddenly starts to feel again.

What I Liked: Amelia slowly begins regaining her memories of life, all while developing her powers as a spirit. She didn't remember everything with a sudden, shattering epiphany, but regained moments of her life as different sensations stimulated her memory.
Eli was sufficiently creepy, as both a villain and as a guy. He is an evil, psychotic, nasty dude with a seriously creepy fixation on Amelia. He made the final show down seem super intense.

What I Didn't Like: Joshua didn't do it for me. I didn't see the appeal, and he seemed a bit too intense for me. He needed to jump into everything without watching, and seemed to ignore a lot of what Amelia wanted.
Hereafter's sequel, Arise is due out June 5th. I look forward to seeing how Amelia and Joshua deal with the problems of their relationship.
